From Therapist to Life Coach
My work as a therapist was challenging and rewarding, but the system wasn't serving all of my clients. I noticed that a number of my clients didn't have a mental, emotional or behavioral illness, or, if they did, they had received treatment and were actively using appropriate management strategies to stay well. These people came to therapy to reach a goal, to work toward personal growth, or just to get unstuck in some part of their lives
But in order to access my services, they had to have a diagnosis. Their goals were based on treating a disease, and their progress was marked by how well they were getting. Insurance companies were directing the course of our interactions and deciding how long we could work together. These people were healthy. The system was sick.
Then I discovered a powerful new way to work with my clients – life coaching! Coaching is proactive, goal oriented and client driven.
Today I enjoy partnering with my clients and journeying with them as they create the life of their dreams for themselves and their families. I invite you to join me on this journey.
Call or e-mail Karen today to schedule a complimentary 30 minute session.
